Mohegan Sun Entrance Gate Uncasville, (New London County), Connecticut Ornamental Iron Grand Entrance Gate
This monumental gate was forged and fabricated using traditional blacksmith techniques and modern fabricating methods. Each animal was repoussed using hand hammer techniques along with the use of treadle hammers and cold chisels. The gate frame and animals were painted with an automotive based paint. The copper foliage on the trees was patinated to achieve the color desired. An automatic gate operator was incorporated into the design for convenience.
